Ganguly screwed VVS Laxman's ODI Career and tried to screw VVS Test Career too

IN MY OPINION

- Ganguly should have supported VVS Laxman's inclusion in the last World cup when he was in great form. Great Capatins support the right player through thick & thin. Ganguly under Dalmiya could have done it if he wanted to. But, he did not & supported Mongia. Now everyone knows how talented Mongia is when compared to VVS. Of course I knew how talented VVS was & is, but Ganguly had other toughts.

- Ganguly also tried screwing VVS Laxman career in Tests too

In the famous Greg Chappell leaked e-mail to BCCI --- Greg mentioned how Mr. GANGULY tried to screw up VVS Laxman Test career.

Now why would Greg Chappell lie about that fact --- that too in a written e-mail? Here is the link to that e-mail & the text that supports the arguement
http://www.dnaindia.com/report.asp?NewsID=3277

"At the completion of the Test match I was approached by VVS Laxman with a complaint that Sourav had approached him on the eve of the Test saying that I had told Sourav that I did not want Laxman in the team for Test matches. I denied that I had made such a remark to Sourav, or anybody else for that matter, as, on the contrary, I saw Laxman as an integral part of the team. He asked how Sourav could have said what he did. I said that the only way we could go to the bottom of the matter was to speak to Sourav and have him repeat the allegation in front of me.
I arranged for a meeting with the two of them that afternoon. The meeting took place just after 6pm in my room at the Rainbow Hotel in Bulawayo. I told Sourav that Laxman had come to me complaining that Sourav had made some comments to Laxman prior to the Test. I asked Sourav if he would care to repeat the comment in my presence. Sourav then rambled on about how I had told him that I did not see a place for Laxman in one-day cricket, something that I had discussed with Sourav and the selection panel and about which I had spoken to Laxman at the end of the Sri Lankan tour.
Sourav mentioned nothing about the alleged conversation regarding Laxman and Test cricket even when I pushed him on it later in the discussion. As we had to leave for a team function we ended the conversation without Sourav adequately explaining his comments to Laxman."

I'm betting that yes Ganguly would have said that...Why don't these pathetic media --- who want to make some money & have no character -- ask this question to Ganguly / Greg / Laxman / BCCI & prove how great/pathetic GANGULY is?????

-I'm & I was very happy for the rough treatment Ganguly got in the last 1-2 years. He deserved it for what he did to some careers. The only 2 players he supported through thick & thin were 'Yuvraj & Kaif'. That's it. That too just because of one great knock in England in that Natwest Finals.

People can tell & blindly support Ganguly -- the fact is & the fact was when he was kicked out of the team --- he was a liability in the team for over 2 years, not scoring runs against main teams, playing politics, just doing a PR job.

Now with the way he is playing, yes Ganguly deserves his place in Indian cricket team. That arrogance (beacuse of Dalmiya support) is gone. I have never seen a fitter & determined Ganguly than now.

In my next post --- I will give my view of why Ganguly is NOT great captain to me --- I should be clear in saying he started well as a captain, but then ....

Rumour VVS is considering retirement if not selected for WC

I'm VERY HAPPY that VVS is considering retirement from all kind of Int'l cricket -- if he is not selected for World cup --- a very popular Telugu newspaper 'VAARTHA' has written an article on it yesterday Feb 6th' 2007.

Also, DD did a nationwide poll on VVS, whether he should be selected for WC or not -- 71% said yes he should be selected...

For the treatment he got in last 3-4 years --- He should not serve a country like India anymore. Let the young cricketers replace him & then lets see the fun.

Shame on Greg Chappell / Dravid / Vengsarkar / Ganguly & BCCI

VVS LAXMAN is a victim of selection Politics

Hi there :

I wanted to add the following for people to know :

--- John Wright said in his book (click on the link below)

http://www.dnaindia.com/report.asp?NewsID=1044380

Wright also says he was frustrated during selection committee meetings which were nothing short of a farce.

"The first six or seven selections were straight forward. But when it got down to the marginal selections, those last three or four spots that determine the balance of the team and your ability to develop new players, the zonal factor kicked in and things would get interesting," he said.

"It was easy to tell when selectors had come to a meeting with an agenda... If their boys weren't picked, they tended to cross their arms, clam up and take no further part in the meeting," he writes.

Wright said VVS Laxman and Mohd Kaif bore the brunt of the selectors' whims.

"VVS Laxman and Kaif are examples of outstanding performers who always seemed to be only one or two failures away from having their places questioned."

PEOPLE --- SO NOW YOU KNOW. ANY DOUBST ON WHY VVS LAXMAN GETS THE TREATMENT HE GETS FROM 'JOHH WRIGHT DAYS / YEARS' ????

For the record --- I DON'T HAVE ANY RESPECT FOR GANGULY / DRAVID --- as great Captains support great player all the way. These captains don't know whom to support & whom not to.

Pathetic 'Vengarkar / Chappell / BCCI ' --- DON'T GIVE THE Bull Shit REASONS CALLED FIELDING/RUNNING . Vengsarkar --- your pathetic way of giving chance to Wasim Jaaffer (against SA) in ODI's proved to world how politics play a big role.

--- Gilchrist on VVS LAXMAN

http://www.hinduonnet.com/2004/01/04/stories/2004010400811700.htm

V.V.S. Laxman's stroke-play during his classic 178 left Gilchrist completely stumped for its sheer beauty and timing.

"Everytime he plays against us he comes up with something special and the next thing we read after the series is he is dropped! It leaves me completely bewildered."
